The crew hit Vickery's downtown last night for some Halloween action. Last night was extra special because it was the 10-year anniversary of when I met catjunkie

Yep..this picture was taken 10 year ago within minutes of us meeting. I bought her french fries and the rest is history. Back then the bar used to be called Backstage Deli and had half-yard beers. Now its just another Crab House (pictured above).

I guess I should also mention I also met rwmidl and number_88 on the same night, but I get considerably less sex from them so they don't get a picture post.

I much sadder news, I had to retire my trusty pimp-boots last night..the heels went out in both of them. I shall always have fond memories of them ranging from the Pimp-a-Loompa costume at Dragoncon to drunken 3am webcam events where I would dance around in just the boots and boxers. Maybe I'll get them mounted on a plaque.

Yeah, I've been slack at posting to LJ. To be honest, I've been more of a Twitter mode as of late. Twitter seems to be the best match of my posting style..which mainly has been short text posts and/or photoblogs. Vlogging is out...partially because I'm still semi-burned out from the webcam scene but mostly because people have a REALLY hard time understanding me (I tend to talk a bit fast). I would write a script to automatically post my twits to LJ..but that's lame..even for me. Plus..I've already set up twitter to post to my Website and my Facebook account.

So, while I'm not abandoning LJ (I still plan on following my friends on here), I will probably continue to focus my posts on twitter..at least until something better comes along.

The season premiere of Hero's was tonight...I'm guessing the writer's strike and delay of season gave them plenty of time to think of original characters. After all, having a new bad-guy with the power to control magnetism has never been done before. Oh yeah..he's called "The German"...

sigh...

at least one of his side-kicks isn't a pyro...oh wait...

DragonCon Sunday Costume

For our second Crazy 88's costume we will be going as the "recovering 88's". Bandages,etc.

The "Received in Damaged Condition" tag was on my Battle Damaged 88 Jacket. It accidentally got stuck w/ my normal dry-cleaning. I guess they've seen worse if that only warranted a tag and not a phone call.

The biggest change I'm going to make between now and DC is the red portion of the makeup. I'm switching to red lipstick vs greasepaint which should look a tad more authentic. Plus I gotta make sure not to get too much on my mask (between the white paint on my nose and the babypowder on my chest it looks like I'm 'Batman the Coke Fiend'). Gotta put red lipstick on my lips too ..but other than that I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

Yet I was cut off not once but TWICE in less than 30 minutes by dumb motherfuckers who panic at a 4-way stop sign.

TO ALL DRIVERS IN SOUTH CAROLINA.....read the drivers manual. Its on the web and its free.

AND PLEASE LEARN TO FUCKING DRIVE!!!!

Bikini Bash

This weekend was a party weekend for the crew..

Friday night: Went to "Party at the Point" for the second skwzbxx reunion show. Drank lots of cheap beer. Ended the night at Wild Wings w/ some nicer beer. Went home early to make sweet love to my kegerator.

Saturday night: Went to see Mummy 3....UGH!! Freakin' TERRIBLE movie. Forget the fact that Jet Li has totally sold out..the dialog rivaled that of a George Lucas love scene. Afterwards, we wound up at AC's..we all wanted to drink ourselves into oblivion to forget that movie. It didn't work.

Sunday, SUNDAY, SSUUNNDDAAYY!!!

I feel like I'm 25 again...and by 25 I mean hungover on a Sunday morning after seeing a skwzbxx show. My legs hurt from dancing all night, throat hurts from singing along. My hangover is double-special this morning since I also chose this weekend to give up soda and cut back severely on my caffeine intake. But after loosing a fight with some dress slacks on Friday night, I am committed to loosing 10 pounds before the 'con. Yes...its time for my Chicken and Beer diet.

Anyways, the crew went to Johnson's Pub last night for the skwzbxx reunion show. First off...I LOVE THAT BAR. It is sooo much more my style of place vs the places I usually hit in Mt. P (sniff...I miss living downtown). It sort of reminded me of Venus (now closed) in Vegas..but without the mannish sounding fire-breathing bartenderette's. I see myself going there a lot more.

skwzbxx themselves were in excellent form and played until the bar pulled the plug on them (right up to 2am). Its still a damn shame these guys didn't hit the big-time..I think they are still one of the best acts to come out of Charleston. Their next show is at the Party at the point on the 8th...we'll be there too...drinking, dancing, and singing at the top of our lungs. And in proper old-school form, the night ended with 5elements playing in traffic (with us dragging him out of traffic) while waiting for MarioCart to pick us up.

Productive Day

Today was a pretty productive day.

- My house got jacked up. It is now level again
- I ordered my Wing Kong costume for D*C
- I ordered a Sudsbuddy Kegerator for D*C
- reserved 2 kegs of Newcastle for D*C

And I still put in a 15 hour (and counting) workday on top of all that!
